KIM BRADIE

ECY TEACHER

Kim found yoga in 1999 when pregnant with her first child. She completed a foundational training with Yoga Scotland and taught yoga for pregnancy and antenatal education to closed groups in community health projects whilst working as a Midwife. She worked as a Specialist Public Health Nurse for 5 years with young mums and their babies and is now an Educational Lead within the National Trauma Transformation Programme, facilitating Trauma Skilled and Responsive training for the workforce supporting Care Experienced children and young people.

Kim is also a BACP registered Psychotherapist and has had the privilege of working with Health All Round and PF Counselling in Edinburgh to offer accessible and low-cost psychotherapy in the community, and now works one to one offering counselling, psychotherapy and by integrating yoga and psychotherapy. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Diploma in Southern India and is passionate about continuing to learn about all the elements of yoga. Kim is constantly inspired and amazed by our capacity as humans to use the body, breath and mind to cultivate stability and ease, and rest “in the self – as the self” to find a sense of safety and stillness.
