Andy first found yoga at his local gym in 2004, initially learning the Ashtanga style. Due to his work as an engineer meaning numerous relocations, Andy has since experienced and practised many different forms, and qualified as a Yoga Alliance Professionals accredited qualified teacher in 2018 after a 2 year course with Balance Yoga in Glasgow. Initially, he was reluctant to take up teaching because he felt that due to challenges with his flexibility, his physical practise was not ‘good enough’. His teacher showed him that yoga is so much more than the perfection of any physical pose and that in fact by having his own struggles he would understand those challenges faced by his students. He believes strongly that yoga is for everyone and that we work with our own abilities to constantly learn and develop and that the combination of mind, breath and body helps in all our daily challenges.
