The benefits of yoga for children is starting to be recognised here in the West more and more as evidence based research confirms its worth. Alongside the obvious physical benefits of a regular yoga practice (improved posture, strength, stamina coordination, balance and flexibility) yoga also serves to promote positive body image, concentration, emotional resilience, physical confidence and control and allows an ability to explore physical limitations in a safe environment.
We understand the ways in which to engage children within the practice whilst creating a supportive, nurturing and non-competitive atmosphere. We use age and stage appropriate props, music, stories and songs in order to allow children to learn in a multi-sensory environment which explores kinaesthetic, visual, aural, inter and intra–personal learning.
Our kids programme
Our children’s programme offers a well-rounded and comprehensive approach to yoga for children, taking into account their emotional, physical and mental developmental needs to encourage focus and concentration through explorative physical creative and imagination play.
Creative movement encourages learning and helps young children make sense of the world around them; they develop skills surrounding the intricacies of social interaction, relationship building, empathetic thinking, attachment and bonding and a positive and realistic development of a sense of self.

Yoga can be used in an educational setting to enhance learning across the curriculum.
Family yoga offers the chance for parents to engage with their children in a new way. Classes support the development of positive relationships through fun, tactile and imaginative work. Yoga for families works therapeutically to develop healthy relationships, encourage bonding, trust and above all teaches us to relax and enjoy each other!
At Risk Young People
Engaging young people in a positive and nurturing practice, yoga can offer the opportunity for respite many young people crave. Suitable for any young person but aimed particularly at those who may be living with mental health problems or learning disabilities, survivors of trauma, those living with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, looked after young people, disconnected youth or young carers.
Health and Safety
All our teachers are fully qualified, insured and police checked and a full risk assessment can be provided on request. We require all participants, or their legal guardian to sign a disclaimer.
